Step 1: Create Amazon Web Services Account.

-"Sign up now"

-Enter your shit blah blah. I don't remember the details but you need a credit card and a phone number and they call you and e-mail you to verify, still only takes 3 mins. The service you're interested in is Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud http://aws.amazon.com/ec2/

 

Step 2: Log in to your AWS account

-go to "My Account/Console"

- Click on EC2 tab

 

Step 3: Click on "Launch Instance"

-Click continue

-Select Amazon Linux AMI 2012.03 first one and 32 bit.

-MAKE FUCKING SURE THE INSTANCE TYPE ON THE NEXT SCREEN IS SET TO MICRO OR YOU WILL GET CHARGED! Dropdown box "Micro (t.1 micro, 613 MB)

-if it is click Continue

-the server and ram settings don't matter click Continue again

-enter in some BS in the key and value fields. For instance beckett and golf, this is your local and host key, you can make it as complex as you want if you're super worried about encryption when you're looking @ your dude porn.

-create a new key pair, name it whatevs "Beckettisfat" or someshit.

-Click create and download your key pair, save it wherever

-Use the default security settings.

-click launch.

-click close

 

Step 4:  Get your IP/DNS address

-On the left hand side there's a menu with a "-" sign next to it that says instances in grey, under that is a blue "instances" link click it

-right click on your running instance and click "connect"

-click on "connect with a standalone ssh client"

-there's an example box near the bottom that you can highlight and copy...you ONLY need the user name and DNS address looks like this ec2-user@ec2-XXX-XXX-XX-XX.compute-1.amazonaws.com. copy that shit.

 

Step 5: Download and install Putty and Puttygen

http://winscp.net/eng/download.php  Puttygen it's in the WINSCP package, buncha other tools in there but we need Puttygen for converting the keys to a usable format for windows.

 

Step 6: Run Puttygen

-click on "Load"

-change file type to all files and find that security key we created it should be called "beckettisfat.pem"

-click on "Save private key" it should now be "beckettisfat.ppk"

-click "yes"

-close puttygen

 

Step 7: Run Putty

-On the first screen in "hostname or IP address" paste your amazon EC2 address

-under the menu on the left expand "SSH" and click on "AUTH"

-find "beckettisfat.ppk" that we made with Puttygen

-now under "tunnels" in the "Source port" box enter "9999" and make sure "dynamic" and "auto" are selected

-click add

-click "open"

-it should connect, you should see a nifty AWS Ascii logo

 

Step 8: Configure Firefox

-Download foxyproxy https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/foxyproxy-standard/ install also too restart firefox

-click the icon, click "add new proxy"

-click manual configure proxy

-check socks proxy Socks proxy v5

-host or ip address: localhost

-port: 9999

-click "ok" click "yes"

-right click the icon and select "use proxy localhost:9999 for all urls and websites"

-go to http://www.ip-address.org/lookup/ip-locator.php and see if they can find you, bet they can't.
